At Progressive Veterinary Care, we combine genuine personal relationships with advanced diagnostics, thoughtful monitoring and direct collaboration with veterinary specialists. Our goal is simple: recognize changes sooner, explain them clearly and help your pet enjoy more good days with the people they love.

Small Hospital. Big Medicine. Real Relationships.

Progressive Veterinary Care is an independently owned, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital serving Skillman, Princeton and the surrounding Central New Jersey communities.

We believe veterinary medicine works best when we truly know our patients - and the people who walk through the door with them.

You are not an appointment number here. We take time to listen, understand what has changed and develop a relationship with your family throughout your pet's life. That familiarity helps us recognize subtle differences, communicate more openly and create care that fits the individual pet and family.

Our hospital combines that personal approach with advanced diagnostics, laparoscopic surgery and close relationships with board-certified veterinary specialists. It is the warmth and familiarity of a neighborhood practice, supported by the medical capabilities of a much larger hospital.

Advanced surgical care — closer to home.

Progressive Veterinary Care provides routine and advanced surgical care supported by individualized anesthetic planning, careful patient monitoring and comprehensive pain management.

Our surgical capabilities include laparoscopic procedures, which use smaller incisions and may provide less discomfort and a smoother recovery for appropriately selected patients.

When a procedure requires advanced expertise, our relationships with board-certified veterinary surgeons allow certain specialized procedures to be performed at our hospital. When referral is the better choice, we help coordinate that care and remain involved in your pet's treatment.

More choices when your pet needs care

Pet Insurance

Unexpected illness or injury can create difficult financial decisions. Pet insurance helps preserve choices — so decisions can be based on what your pet needs.

Care Should Feel Personal—Because It Is.

Progressive Veterinary Care is proud to be an independently owned, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital.

Our team believes excellent veterinary medicine begins with listening. We make time to understand what has changed, explain what we know and make the next step clear.

We pride ourselves on recognizing the people who walk through our door—not only their four-legged family members. Those relationships allow us to care for pets with greater context, familiarity and understanding.

You deserve a veterinary team that knows your pet's medical history, understands your concerns and remains beside you when decisions become difficult.
