Advanced Imaging. Real-Time Specialist Interpretation.
PVC partners with Pulse Vet Imaging for on-site abdominal ultrasound. Brian Pepe, RDMS, RDCS, ARMRIT, CVT, co-founder of Pulse Vet Imaging, performs the study while Dr. Jay Stefanacci, VMD, DACVR, evaluates the images in real time.

Dr. Stefanacci is a board-certified veterinary radiologist. The real-time model allows him to guide additional views while the study is still underway and provide a specialist report for the PVC veterinarian.
- Abnormal blood or urine results
- Persistent vomiting, diarrhea, appetite change or weight loss
- Abdominal pain, fluid or enlargement
- Liver, gallbladder, kidney, bladder or gastrointestinal concerns
- Suspected masses, cysts or organ abnormalities
Ultrasound may identify a change without naming its exact cause. Cytology, monitoring or traditional/laparoscopic biopsy may sometimes be recommended if a more specific diagnosis would change the plan.
