Advanced Surgical Care – Closer to Home.

Every procedure begins with an individualized assessment of age, history, examination findings and diagnostic results. Care includes pre-surgical planning, anesthetic monitoring, pain management, recovery support and clear home instructions.

Laparoscopic surgery at Progressive Veterinary Care

General surgical and dental procedures

PVC performs spays, neuters, selected mass removals and other appropriate soft-tissue procedures. We also provide comprehensive dental procedures with full-mouth dental radiography and treatment or extraction of diseased teeth when indicated. The Dentistry page contains the complete dental-care description.

Laparoscopic spays and biopsies

PVC currently offers laparoscopic spays and selected laparoscopic abdominal-organ biopsies. Laparoscopy uses a small camera and specialized instruments through small incisions. For appropriately selected patients, potential benefits include smaller incisions, less tissue disruption, improved visualization and a smoother recovery.

Laparoscopic biopsy may be recommended when bloodwork and imaging identify an abnormality but tissue is needed for a more specific diagnosis.

Specialty Surgery in the Comfort of Your Family Veterinary Hospital

Progressive Veterinary Care works closely with Dr. Dennis Ting, a board-certified veterinary surgeon and owner of Princeton Veterinary Surgical Specialists.

Dr. Ting performs selected orthopedic and complicated soft-tissue procedures at Progressive Veterinary Care. This allows appropriate patients to receive specialty surgical expertise in a familiar hospital, supported by the PVC doctors and team who already know their medical history and family.

Orthopedic surgery

Orthopedic conditions can significantly affect a pet's comfort, mobility and quality of life. Dr. Ting evaluates and treats selected bone, joint and ligament conditions, including procedures that require the experience and advanced training of a board-certified veterinary surgeon.

Complicated soft-tissue surgery

Dr. Ting also performs selected complicated soft-tissue and oncology-related procedures that extend beyond the typical scope of general practice. Each case is reviewed individually to determine whether surgery can be performed safely at PVC or would be better managed at a specialty hospital.

A connected approach to surgical care

Dr. Ting provides the focused surgical expertise, while Progressive Veterinary Care remains involved in the complete picture - including preoperative diagnostics, anesthetic planning, medication management, postoperative monitoring and continuing care.

When referral to a specialty hospital is the safer or more appropriate option, we help coordinate that care and remain connected throughout your pet's treatment.
